So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Uses of Replication
There are a number of applications for replication, including sales data distribution and collection, pricing distribution, offloading of reports, and more. Since replication takes a database or subset of a database and keeps it up-to-date on another server, the uses are quite extensive. Uses of replication can include:
Scaling out applications
Data warehousing
Distributing and consolidating data from satellite locations
Offloading report processing
