I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Database Mirroring
Database mirroring is a new high availability technology that was introduced in SQL Server 2005. Primarily, it is used as part of an overall high availability solution, but it can also be used as a database reporting solution. It can be used in a variety of ways: stand alone or in conjunction with log shipping, clustering, or database snapshots. Mirroring provides a hybrid solution: a copy of database like with log shipping, rapid failover capabilities like with clustering, and elimination of the issues associated with shared disk solutions.
