So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Information locked away in relational or OLAP databases does little to help people make decisions. Although many business applications include reports to present data captured by those applications, these reports have limited value because they don’t integrate information with other business applications and because they don’t always satisfy the day-to-day business questions that arise. To address these information requirements, organizations often have a team of analysts who are trained to query databases and package the results, whether in a hard-copy report, an Excel spreadsheet, or a professional polished report.
