It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In this chapter, you have been introduced to SQL Server 2005 replication. You have seen what replication can be used for, what makes up a replicated system, and the different types of replication. You have also learned the basics of configuring, managing, and tuning replication. It might seem difficult at first, but once you have set up replication a few times, you will see that it isn’t as hard as it first seems.
Although replication appears at first to run itself and doesn’t need any administration, it is important to monitor it regularly. Check the logs regularly, look for errors or problems, and correct them as soon as possible.
