I am of the opinion that to be able to effectively secure anything, you must first completely understand it. When I hired a security firm to secure my home, the consultants spent a fair amount of time talking with me trying to gain an understanding of how the house was "used." Did all occupants have day jobs such that the house is empty during most daytime hours? Are there children coming and going during all hours of the night?
