If you got one thing out of this chapter, it should be that drivers are very powerful, relatively stealthy, and need to be watched carefully.

Now, hopefully you got a little bit more than that out of the preceding pages, such as the different kinds of drivers in Windows 2000 and a better handle on what they are and how they work. Drivers are so often seen as this huge gray cloud; I hope I've been able to take some of the confusion out of the picture.
