Quality of Service

Windows 2000 adds support for quality of service (QOS) and RSVP. Generic QOS provides system components with a method of reserving bandwidth. The modular design of QOS and RSVP components allows other components to be added.

Microsoft Windows 2000 Server's quality-of-service implementation conforms to the IETF-proposed standards for RSVP quality of service (QOS) and diff-serve class of service (COS).
