Systems administrators have access to the CryptoAPI configuration information through the Registry database. However, keep in mind that Microsoft does not guarantee that the Registry keys discussed here will not change in the future. I recommend that you do not make any changes under these keys. If you want to write a setup program to install your own provider, consult the details regarding usage of the Registry in the original documentation from Microsoft.

Per-user default settings
Per-machine default settings
