Secure Networking Through the SSPI

Chapter 13, "Networking Model," has already discussed the blocks that build Windows 2000 networking. Notice Figure 16.1. The Security Support Provider Interface along with its security packages lies right upon the TDI (Transport Device Interface). That means that almost all the network messages generated on the session, presentation, and application layers (see Figure 16.2) go through SSPI security.
