Several MMC snap-ins are grouped together and called the Security Configuration Tool Set. These snap-ins make it easy to perform many administrative tasks related to security. The Security Templates snap-in allows you to create security templates and save them in a text file. You can use the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in to compare a system to a security template. There is also an extension to the Group Policy Editor. If you are more comfortable with a command-line version of these tools, you can use the SECEDIT command instead.
