Configuring the VPN Client
Here is the good news: With the Routing and Remote Access service in Windows 2000, PPTP is automatically available on the server once an Internet connection has been made. This means that for PPTP, all you need to do is configure the client to successfully connect. I look at some of the management aspects of these protocols in the section "Managing the VPN Server," later in the chapter.
To set up a Windows 2000 PPTP client, do the following:
Go to Start, Settings, Network and Dial-up Connections and double-click the Make New Connection icon. This opens the Network Connection Wizard (see Figure 20.1).
