It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
IPv6 duplicate address detection
Duplicate addresses have always been a challenge in IPv4 networks. There is no inbuilt duplicate address detection mechanism with IPv4, which causes issues in the production network. Considering these challenges, IPv6 is designed with an inbuilt Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) mechanism.
