It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Layout preferences
In the layout preferences, you simply set the way that you want Wireshark to present the Packet Lists, Packet Details, and Packet Bytes:
As you can see from the previous screenshot, you can set the appearance of panes and what will be presented in each one of them.
