So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Performance tuning in the Oracle RAC environment is similar to tuning in a single-instance environment, with a few additional considerations for Oracle RAC. Applications partitioning and newly introduced performance features such as ASSM also help greatly in Oracle RAC. Caching frequently used sequences and choosing the right block size each has a big positive impact on performance.
New wait events and enhanced statistics-collection tools are available with Oracle Database 11g.
