It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Advanced Debugging for Oracle Clusterware Modules
By default, Oracle records minimal debugging information in the diagnostic log files. There are situations where you require detailed information to diagnose the potential problems in Oracle Clusterware. You can instruct Oracle Clusterware to record more debugging information for different Oracle Clusterware processes and cluster resources. The CRSCTL utility is used to set the advanced debugging in Oracle Clusterware. Oracle Clusterware services such as Cluster Synchronization Services, Cluster Ready Services, and so on, have multiple modules or functions in them for which advance debugging can be enabled to a debug level between 0 and 5.
