Using Wizards in an Oracle Developer 6i Form
John Adolph Palinski
Wizards are a series of pages that step a user through tasks. Wizards are a recently developed tool employed in a variety of software products. They are used throughout the Oracle development products. A Database block wizard, a Layout wizard, and a LOV wizard exist in Oracle’s Form Builder. Oracle’s Report Builder has a Report wizard, a Chart wizard, and a Web wizard. Oracle is not the only software developer to employ wizards. Microsoft Access employs a Database wizard to prompt the user to enter criterion for the database. Oracle has provided us with a class that enables the developer to employ wizards in a form. This chapter explains how to use this class.
