16. In the Modify Style window, as shown in Figure 4-20, choose the Background category. Change
the background color to #FF0000 (red), and then click OK. You’ll be returned to the view.

17. Save the changes to the view by clicking the Save button in the upper-left corner.
18. If you browse to the list now you’ll notice that any items for which the Units Sold are less
than 100 are highlighted (red), as shown in Figure 4-21. (This is similar to how you could
create a simple KPI for any list or library, no matter which version of SharePoint you used.)
If your list doesn’t have data, now would be a good time to add some new items to the list
and test out the new view.

The fi nal step is to create a custom view that shows only the values of the employees who have given
themselves a low rating. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Lists and Libraries and open the settings page for the Waffle Sales list. In the Views
section, click the New button to create a new view. The Create New List View dialog will
open. Name the view Low Sales and click OK.
2. The new view will be created and appear in the list of views. Click the new name of the new
view to edit it.
