Creating Wiki Links
While you can certainly do a lot of things with page content in SharePoint 2010 using the ribbon, the
introduction of wiki pages throughout SharePoint 2010 provides one more feature that hasn’t been dis-
cussed yet. Wiki pages enable you to use wiki links. Wiki links provide a standard way to quickly mark
links on pages using a syntax that is shared among many wiki software products.
To create a wiki link in SharePoint 2010, simply begin editing any wiki page, and in an editable
text area type two left brackets ([[). Once the brackets are typed, SharePoint loads a list of avail-
able items for linking; you can click through the various levels and eventually select something to
link (see Figure 5-25).
