You can hide the red dotted lines by clicking Spelling ➪ Remove
Spelling. Spell-checking is available only for SharePoint Server publish-
ing sites.
Text Layout
Text Layout includes several preconfi gured content layouts that can
easily be switched from the ribbon. Figure 5-7 shows the Text Layout
options. Text Layout is available only in non-publishing sites; publish-
ing sites have their own type of layout known as Page Layouts, which
are available on the Page tab. The text layout functionality is useful
because authors can see their content easily in several confi gurations
without the need for creating custom page layouts.
Markup
The Markup group has several useful features for creating page-level
branding:
Markup Styles

— Enables you to format text content with various prebuilt visual styles,
much like the Styles button, except it surrounds the selected content with specifi c HTML
tags as well as styles. Chapter 12 discusses how custom markup styles can be added to this
list for all content authors to use. Like styles, markup styles are a great way to enforce
consistency across page content.

— This option adds a Lang attribute to the HTML of the selected text, which
can be used by browsers and search engines to handle the text differently based on a lan-
guage code.
