conspicuous when observed on radar. Tank farms and
small built-up areas are particularly good examples.
Their response is among the strongest likely to be
encountered and, if isolated from other areas of
response, they may be very conspicuous. Naturally
occuring features such as small isolated islands offer a
further example of radar-conspicuous and potentially
identifiable targets.
Sloping sandy coastlines may be quite conspicuous to
