Target ship course: 270°(T) speed: 7 knots
Target range is 10 n mile on a bearing of
045°.
The origin is tracking correctly at a constant rate.
Note (a) On a relative-motion display, the target will
remain on a steady bearing and will be on a range ring
every 12 minutes (own vessel will travel 1.4 n mile in 12
min).
(b) Tracking is controlled by the true-motion unit,
whereas linearity depends upon the timebase generator.
