7.4.1 The construction of the plot

(a) Own ship's heading line should have been drawn
in.
(b) The OAW triangle should have been constructed
and the basic information extracted.
(c) Continue to plot the apparent motion of the target,
making sure the direction and rate are as predicted
in the initial plot.
(d) As soon as a change in the target's apparent motion is
noticed,
plot more frequently and, when a new
steady apparent motion is established, choose a pos-
ition, label it O

and insert the time.
(e) Plot the new apparent motion as if it were a new
target. Predict the new CPA and TCPA, also course
