Naming Conventions for Redo Log Files
Redo log files are created at the time of the installation in the form of groups. Four redo log groups are created, each with a set of two redo log files. As shown in Table 20-3, the odd-numbered redo log files are grouped under origlogA and mirrlogA file systems, and even-numbered redo log files are grouped under origlogB and mirrlogB file systems.
