So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Java Upgrade Concepts
SAP has standardized the upgrade procedures between ABAP and Java stacks. The upgrade concepts discussed in the last chapter are applicable to the Java stack upgrade as well. In general, Java stack upgrades are less complex and take a shorter time to complete as compared to an ABAP-based ERP upgrade. The reason is that the ERP application has more than 70,000 tables and has lot of interfaces and will add to the time and complexity of the upgrade. Regardless of the complexity, a clear understanding of the upgrade concepts will help to plan the upgrade well and therefore reduce the business risk of upgrading a Java application.
