There has been an enormous growth in team coaching in the last 10 years and I am confident that this will increase in the next ten years. The Ridler Report (2016) found that “76% of organisations expect to increase their use of team coaching over the next two years” (Mann, 2016). However, both traditional forms of team leadership and traditional approaches to team development are inadequate to meet the current and future leadership challenges in organizations ranging in size and relevance from governments, global corporates, business start-ups to organizations in the not-for-profit (or better termed, for-benefit) sector.
