a dual-core processor, it becomes a case of four threads per chip. Figure 16.4 shows
a dual-core processor of Intel.
Having discussed the concept of multicore technology, let us now discuss the issues
that come up when multiple cores have to work in unison. We will discuss briefly three
important issues that need solutions.
