The Visual Studio 2015 IDE is an evolution of Visual Studio 2013, which heavily relies on the .NET Compiler Platform and brings many improvements in different areas of the IDE.
As with Visual Studio 2013, the goal in the Visual Studio 2015 IDE is to help developers focus on writing code or on designing the application rather than on the development environment. So the environment now has fewer modal dialogs, more floating tool windows that do not block other activities, and, in general, many more productivity improvements.
