The Microsoft Azure platform is Microsoft’s cloud computing platform. It includes several services, such as the Windows Azure operating system, a SQL database, websites, and application building blocks. Windows Azure is a 64-bit operating system enabling web applications to be hosted and running in a cloud environment. To develop applications for the cloud, you use Visual Studio 2015, which must be enabled by installing the appropriate tools.
