Custom Window Layouts

Visual Studio 2015 allows you to create custom window layouts. This means you can save and restore the layouts of both docked and floating tool windows. This can be very useful when you have to use one window layout when working with a particular project type and then use a different layout with another project type.

To save a custom window layout, you invoke Window, Save Layout. In the Save Window Layout dialog that appears, you can specify a name for the layout (see Figure 52.22).
