Properties
Properties are characteristics of a type. For example, the previously shown class Person could have two properties, such as the first name and the last name:
Class Person Property FirstName As String Property LastName As StringEnd Class
Read-Only Auto-Implemented Properties
Visual Basic 2015 introduces auto-implemented read-only properties, which no longer require you to specify the Get method explicitly. This enhancement to auto-implemented properties, introduced with Visual Basic 2015, is discussed further in Chapter 7, “Class Fundamentals.”
