Chapter 9. THE PRINCIPLE OF MASS SIMILAR

The Principle of Mass Similar: The more kinds of proper nouns describing item X you search for, the more your search results will be slanted toward the topic of X.

The Principle of Mass Similar is much like the Principle of Unique Language, with two differences. The first difference is that you're not trying to gather up all the unique vocabulary that you can; you're just trying to find proper nouns that are relevant to your topic. The second difference is that you can apply this principle where it would be difficult to apply the Principle of Unique Language.

Let's take an example: candy bars. You want to find Web sites that deal heavily with candy bars. You can try to search for the phrase “candy bars” ...
