Address and Zip Code Helpers
In Chapter 16, “Finding Local Information on the Web,” we looked at several things you could do with a zip code. But we didn't look at how zip codes could help you with making sure you have the correct address.
Zip Code Helpers
Since the zip code is administered by the post office, the first thing you want to do is visit its site at http://www.usps.gov. Here you'll find several zip-code–related tools, including zip code lookups, all zip codes for a particular city/town, all cities and towns covered by a zip code, and a zip code for a given company. There's also a list of zip code FAQs. Refer back to Chapter 16 for several other cool things you can do with an address.
