I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Local Resources (Newspaper Classifieds)
You know what you want to be, and you know where you want to work. Maybe you're happy enough to find a job in your hometown, or maybe you want to move across the country.
Try local resources first—namely, newspaper classifieds. They hold a wealth of jobs, and you can focus on finding the job you want instead of having to artificially narrow your search by area as you would have to with nationwide job searches.
If you're living where you want to work, you're in gravy; you probably know the URL of your local paper. If you don't, or if you want to find work in another town, try either a newspaper-specific resource or Yahoo to find publications in the town in which you're interested.
