Special Syntaxes on Searchable Subject Indexes

As you might expect, the special syntaxes for searchable subject indexes are much more limited, since they don't index all of a Web site or even a Web page. In fact there are pretty much only two: for title and URL.

The same caveats that apply to the full-text engine syntax apply to the searchable subject index syntax, only more so. Titles are used for sites, not individual pages, so your search terms must be fairly general. Furthermore, a subject index editor may not use a site's actual title, but more of a descriptive title, something the editor came up with to describe the site.
