It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Exploring Programs and Features
Programs and Features helps you manage programs already installed; programs and features provided by Windows; and updates installed after you got your computer. Programs and Features replaces Add/Remove Programs found in Windows XP and other previous versions of Windows.
TIP: Though this Control Panel has been renamed Programs and Features, you can still type Add/Remove Programs in the Start menu Search box and it will get you there.
While you will not be going into Programs and Features every day, there are several great reasons why you should get familiar with how this Control Panel item works.
