I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What to Do with Your Old PC
The Web, magazines, and newspapers have lots of articles on what you can do with your old PC, as well as what not to do. Here are just a few ideas:
- Use the computer as a print and file server for your home network. Hook up your printers to the PC, and then hook up the PC to your network. Then any PC on your network can print directly to the printers anytime. See Chapter 15 to learn how to share files and printers on a network.
NOTE: While using the old PC as a print and file server allows you to reuse it instead of throwing it away, older PCs may use a lot of power and give off a lot of heat.
