A type of group used to organize users (such as all the users in the Sales department with a group named G_Sales). Global groups can also contain other global groups.

GPO filtering

A technique that allows you to change the default behavior so that the GPO applies only to a specific group of users. You can remove the Apply Group Policy permission for the Authenticated Users group and instead apply this permission to another group. Or, you could set the Deny Apply Group Policy permission for any group that you don't want to be affected by the policy.
