9.6. Summary
In this chapter, you had an opportunity to create a Windows Server 2008 domain in a virtual environment that can be used as a test bed. After creating the virtual environment, you learned how to join a Windows 7 computer to a domain.
Authentication is used to verify the identity of a user, and authorization is then used to grant the user access to resources. User accounts are created using Active Directory Users and Computers. Built-in groups and administrator-created groups are commonly used in the domain to streamline the process of granting access.
