4.5. Summary

In this chapter, you learned about the different methods that can be used to deploy updates to Windows 7 clients. You also learned how they can be audited to verify they are being updated.

You have three choices when deciding on how the clients will be updated. Automatic Updates is often used in smaller networks of 50 or fewer clients and doesn't require any administrative intervention after it is set up. Windows Server Update Services is a free server product used in medium and large organizations. Larger organizations that can afford to purchase an enterprise application can use System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
