2.3. Imaging with the Windows Automated Installation Kit

The Windows Automated Installation Kit for Windows 7 was introduced in Chapter 1. Exercises within that chapter led you through the process of installing it and using the User State Migration Tool and the Volume Activation Management Tool contained within the Windows AIK.

Multiple versions of the Windows AIK exist. Make sure you have the version for Windows 7. In addition, if you've installed a service pack on Windows 7, you should check to see if a newer version of the Windows AIK has been released.
