8.8.2.3Non-Response Bias
Non-response errors occur when the respondent is not available at home or the researcher is not in a
position to contact him due to some other reason. Non-response errors also occur when respondents
refuse to answer certain questions which are important from the researcher’s point of view. As a result,
it becomes difcult to obtain complete information. Due to this, very important parts of the sample do
not provide relevant and required information and this leads to non-sampling errors.
