variables simultaneously in one experimental design. In a factorial design, a researcher can control the
effect of multiple treatment variables. In addition, factorial design provides an opportunity to study
the interaction effect of two treatment variables. It is important to understand that the randomized
block design concentrates on one treatment (column) and control for a blocking effect (row effect).
Randomized block design does not provide the opportunity to study the interaction effect of treatment
and block. This facility is available only in factorial design.
