On Being Unobserved
For those of you who’ve worked in busy and noisy open-plan offices, distractions may have driven you to despair. You may have been deep in thought about the problem that you were working on only to have a colleague interrupt you to ask you a question. Perhaps you’ve experienced what it’s like to be on the cusp of finally figuring out where that problem is happening via the debugger only for noisy colleagues to start talking and laughing in a huddle by your desk.
