When we walk through the spectrum of remoteness, we can make an observation: the company setups at both ends of the spectrum are a great deal simpler than the ones in the middle. Running a physically colocated company or a fully remote company is easier than any of the hybrid-remote configurations in-between. With hybrid remote, employees need to feel like part of the company whether they’re at headquarters, a satellite office, or at home. This can be complicated and expensive to achieve.
