Selecting and Copying Text
AS YOU BROWSE THE Web, you may also come across text on the Web that you want to use elsewhere, say in an email or a document. It’s easy to do. First, hold your finger on the text you want to copy. A magnifying glass appears. This makes it easy to maneuver to the exact text you want to copy. Move it by moving your finger, and then release it on the word you want to copy. If you want to copy more than one word (and you likely will), don’t worry—just release your finger when it’s on one of the words you want to copy.

When you release your finger, brackets appear around the word, and a toolbar appears with three icons: Copy, Search, and Share. Move the brackets until they surround the text you want to copy. Tap Copy to copy them to the Clipboard. You get a notification that the text was copied. You can now paste it into an email, a document, and so on. Tap Search to search for the text. A screen appears after you tap Search that asks whether you want to search Google, Google Translate, Wikipedia, or a dictionary. Make your choice and do your search. Tap Share, and you’ll be able to share your selection either as text, or as an image file. You’ll be able to share it via Bluetooth, email, text message, and more, depending on what you’ve got installed on your Galaxy S II.
