Transferring Music, Videos, and Pictures to Your PC

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER DOES double-duty and works in both directions—you can use it to transfer music, videos, and pictures from your Galaxy S II to your PC as well. First, follow the instructions starting on Transferring Music, Videos, and Pictures from a PC Using Windows Media Player to connect your Galaxy S II to your PC, and set up sync options. Then:

  1. At the top of the screen, click the Sync button.

  2. On the left-side navigation panel of Windows Media Player, you see the Galaxy S II listed.

  3. Drag the media you want to transfer from your Galaxy S II to your PC to the Sync area on the right-hand side of the screen, just as you did when transferring music to your Galaxy S II. In this instance, however, you’ll be transferring media from your Galaxy S II to your PC.

    The button at the bottom right of your screen changes from Start Sync to “Copy from Device.”

  4. Click the “Copy from Device” button to transfer the files.

Tip

When you’re in Windows Media Player browsing through the Galaxy S II, you can delete files from the Galaxy S II. Highlight the file you want to delete and press the Delete key. A warning will appear asking if you want to delete the file. Click OK.
