Exposure
Many methods are available for gathering exposure and capturing a scene, but one rules when it comes to consistency for panoramas. That method is manual exposure mode. Here’s why:
• Program (P) mode. Never use your camera’s P mode in this situation because the camera will decide the exposure for you. This can produce catastrophic differences in darkness and brightness in the images you stitch together. If the aperture changes during these exposures, then your focus will also be impacted by the changing exposure. The last thing you want is a panoramic photograph that is in focus in one part of the image and out of focus elsewhere.
