Leveling the Camera
The next steps are when leveling comes in. In some cameras, the operating system has a level built in. For example, newer Nikon DSLR cameras can show the level inside the viewfinder in addition to the live view. As previously mentioned, the level can be effective, but it is not always 100% accurate because it relies on digital sensors. While I do use the built-in level for quick leveling, I use bubble levels for true precision.
In addition to the bubble levels built into legs and heads, I recommend using the shoe-mounted bubble level. I use a triple axis bubble level because it is much more precise than a digital level.
