Step 3: Waiting for the Merge

Once you click OK, Photoshop begins the stitching process. At this point, I recommend walking away from your computer for however long it takes. This process consumes a lot of your computer’s resources, so anything else you do will be slow. You might even have an application crash—no software is perfect, and it does happen. So take this time to grab some water and relax.

Once the Photomerge is complete, you will notice that a layer was created for each frame. A mask was automatically created for each frame as well. You will notice lines between each frame of the panorama at this point, and that is normal. When the layers are merged those lines should disappear as long as the panorama has no extreme distortion.
