When preparing to photograph a panorama, the first thing you need to do is scout the perfect location. As photographers, we must often visualize the panoramic aspect ratio. It can be helpful to use your camera’s viewfinder or live view gridlines to help “see” the scene in your mind. Once you have the perfect location, it’s time to get your tripod in place. This is when the bubble levels and leveling plates are useful.
